So, We broke the bed…
No literally, the bed is broken – the mattress is
floor level.
Yea, I know what you’re thinking. Way to go Kate and Nate, typical fat-ass
Americans engraining the idea that we’re all just another oreo away from a
heartattack in the eyes of the world.
Well, in this case, the country of Thailand. Well, actually just our Thai landlord. And in truth, Nate fixed the bed and so no
one ever found out. But it was hilarious
when it happened. Twice.
Our digs, in Chiang mai, were pretty sweet I must say. We were located on the West side, below the
University directly across the street from the hospital that Kate is interning.
PERFECT.
Located in a less touristy area of Chiang mai where the
population is largely made up of College Students, there is an abundance of
street food vendors and coffee shops with fast wifi. Also, Perfect.
I didn’t get a chance to check out Chiang Mai last go around
in Thailand, but I have very much enjoyed it this time! We have spent 3 weeks here, although it feels
like we just started to scratch the surface. I can understand the high
concentration of Expats: There’s lots to
do! And although it is a city, it has a slower pace than your typical
metropolis, with manageable ebb and flow and things going on.
Link to the Air Bnb Ad and the location of it.
